When he uploaded the tracks from Voids Three to SoundCloud, Grenier tagged them with the word “Spaceweight”. I think that pretty much perfectly describes what you’re about to hear. I must say though, when I listen to his tunes, I get this feeling of listening to something luxurious. It’s like when you’re handling something that has a certain heft to it and you’re careful not to screw around with it too much. You can hear the amount of work that went into producing this music. You can picture him scrapping and redoing bits to get the sound he wants. To be honest, I don’t know much about music production or Dean — maybe he just fires up and gets a tune done in 2 hours, maybe some take weeks to finish and some just one day from conception to the final rendering. But I know that I had this feeling when I first heard Intentions (Symbols) or Here Come The Dark Lights (Photek Productions), and that’s a good sign, at least in my mind. This installment of Voids is a true work of art and I will make sure to listen to the previous two.
